About us

Tools for the people who make live music happen.

BandQuill is a UK company building simple, fairly priced software for working bands — and for the engineers, techs, drivers and deps who get them on stage.

Our story

Born in a group chat that got out of hand.

Most bands run on goodwill, a group chat and one person’s spreadsheet. It works — until a dep turns up at the wrong venue, two gigs get booked on the same night, or nobody can remember who’s been paid for the wedding in June.

We built BandQuill because we’d lived that. The software that existed was either built for huge touring productions, priced per person, or looked like it hadn’t been updated since MySpace. Gigging bands — covers, function, wedding, tribute and originals acts across the UK — deserved better.

So we set out to make the tool we wanted: one place for the calendar, the gig sheet, the setlist and the money, with a login for everyone involved — including the sound engineer who’s been getting the stage plot as a blurry photo for years.

Our mission is simple: less admin, more music.

What we believe

Our values

Built for working musicians

We design for the Saturday-night reality: a basement with no signal, a van at 1am, a dep who needs the setlist now.

Fair, simple pricing

Priced per band, not per head. Crew and deps never pay. No surprise add-ons, no lock-in.

Everyone in the loop

The people behind the band matter as much as the people on stage. Everyone gets their own login.

Your data is yours

UK GDPR at our core. We don’t sell data, we don’t run ads, and you can export everything at any time.

Mobile first, always

If it doesn’t work one-handed on a phone at the side of the stage, it isn’t finished.

Calm software

Fewer notifications, clearer screens. Tools that get out of the way so you can play.
